pubwrite08: I know, I agree. With silence comes fantasies that only I know about.

Every journey begins with a single step young lady.
And fantasies can be so much more when shared between two. Why settle for the half of a pair?

Okay. On a serious note. Every time I've taken the first step, my foot has ended up in my mouth. So I'm trying to overcome my foot problems. foot in mouth

That's Merky's two cents.......grin

constanza: It's really complicated when you say future...because it takes so much more than attraction and chemistry; it takes lots of honesty which in my experience isn't easy for most of us, compromise, and lots of dedication which only stems from true love. Again most people are superficial, stubborn, and why not be real honest about this...men like to feel in charge...they like controlling their women ...and to me that is just plain abusive. So whom would I choose....afraid to take chnaces at this point....and not ready anyway for more complications...still digesting the shock of my life with Phil.

As for future again a hypothetical future. Imagine no restrictions including chemistry (assume compatibility as the one any one could name is already rolling about in the mind as it is). True Love will not happen unless we give it away. It does not just fall out of the sky.
Any man who wants to be in charge and not an equal will be here long after all the real women and men have found their mates either here or elsewhere. No one deserves to be dominated in life.
I agree with the shocking loss of Phil, he was a fine man and dearly missed.comfort

BarrenPneuma: ...pick one person from CS to date and make some sort of future with, who would it be?

Imagie no distance factor, age difference, taken or not. It is purely hypothetical after all. No complications just a pure blank slate to begin with on both sides.

No reasons required just a name.
smitten hmmmm i pick meeeee.

BarrenPneuma: Anna you are a wonderful woman. Who would not be completely happy to even be mentioned by you in even a hypothetical way as this?

I do believe the posts thusfar herein are one of the defining reasons theat there are so few actual connections here by comparison to volume of inhabitants. Fear of rejection.
But if fear is the slave master of your heart then what room is there left for Love? The two cannot coexist.
No risk no gain.
Every attempt to reach someone that we forgo is assured failure.

Odd how so many can lightly flirt as long as there is no chance of being ignored.

Take the plunge, the water might be cold but the exhilaration of its caress is sheer bliss.

Mark I appreciate your compliment to me in your first two sentences.

And I most certainly am not in fear of rejection.I've had to endure rejection from my fsmily so I'm an old old hand at being rejected.

Mark if did a survey of the men on this site about who would not be completely happy to even be mentioned by you (meaning me somechick of coure) in even a hypothetical way as this?

I'll bet you'll not get to many answers to that survey saying that they would be happy that I chose them.

Over 300 views and so few posts? It appears that fear is the master of far too many hearts herein and perhaps needs to be addressed before anyone will find Love of any sort that they desire in their lives.

At least there are plenty of eager hopefuls checking in to see if by some magic their own name has been mentioned. Love is not one-sided folks and it will take two hands reaching together to fulfill it. What harm in bolstering someone's confidence, even if it does not manage to be reciprocated it could unlock one single heart to seek the one they desire. Love is not selfish and is never a loss to give away on any level.

I would not believe this for a second young lady. You have a very low opinion of who you are and the ones who see with their hearts can discern the difference. You are going to provoke a poll with this sort of thinking you know.tongue

Love is to give away and only in doing so can it be returned or have any worth. Love held tight to the breast will starve as it cannot suckle itself.
When you walk down the street how many eyes glance your way? How many smiles are set aloft in your presence?
One can be counted amongst the rich by having a mere handful of friends, and truly wealthy by having one to Love and Love.
If such a poll were done there would at least be one, and in truth that is all anyone needs. But in most cases with such a large population here the numbers would be far higher.hug

So far the only brave souls herein are women. I am not surprised really as they are by far the wiser gender. And the ones most in touch with their emotion.
The doc will be ecstatic I am sure but he already knew...hug

Mark I know all to well that love is not one sided. Love is a two way street where the two involved in a relationship put their full 100% into it.I was married for 20 yrs and know that's it's alot more then just jumping in bed with someone. It's a long long commintment. At least that's how it's supposed to be anyway , but unfortuntely it doesn't always turn out that way.

By mentioning someones name would be playing with their feelings and I can't express my feelings for someone if I really have no true feelings for them. That would be so unkind to them.

I have no problem in blostering someones confidence but not in this fashion of just naming them. Nope won't do it.Sorry but I refue to get someones hopes up.
