When I was little we had neighbors who owned horses. They are such beautiful creatures! That's where I learned to ride. Mom would have supper ready and she could never find me. She already knew I was next door on one of their horses. Oddly, I haven't rode one since......uh oh

wave Hope you have a good day,

Good Morning loverboy and how are you?

I've always loved to ride horses but because of the injury of my lower back I'm unable to go riding anymore. What a bummer that is.wave

I noticed in your profile the other day some pics of some horses and they're beautful.

thanks well actually I just started.I got my first horse about 4 years ago.It was January dam building that barn was cold.but Anyway I lost him the same year on the 4th of july of all days to a broken leg.I still miss that horse he didn't care who was on him.I then said I wouldn't own another but in august of the same year I desided to try again and bought one.and then I came across another that I have always wanted.I guess the why I posted this forum is it is alot like dating. If you lose something you love you have to get back out there and look you will find someone you love even more.

I have been riding horses ever since my early teen years. But it's been about 8 yrs since I have ridden now. I could only ride gentle rides on one now.

Nothing like when I was young, I jumped them , I barrel raced them and raced friends, I had the need for speed back then wink applause rolling on the floor laughing

I had a mean horse and she was always trying to throw me. She would take off and head for a barbed wire fence and slam on her breaks. Once she slammed me into some trees and put a locust tree thorn thru my knee cap. I got tough with her after that. But she still liked to run away with people sometimes. She was half thoroughbred and half quarter horse.
So one day I hooked a rope to her bridle down to the chest strap so she couldn't stretch her neck out too far. And when she ran away with me on her back, I lifted up in the saddle and stretched up to her and covered both of her nostrils. rolling on the floor laughing
Omg that horse came to a stop real quick. And from that day on she never ran away with anyone. rolling on the floor laughing professor

And if they are running away, cover their nose , A horse can't run if it can't breathe. And as soon as they stop you can let them have air back.professor devil laugh

Yeah I watch horse trainers on rfd tv.It is all about farming and stuff. But the main thing they tell you is to do what ever it takes to make the horse pay attention to you.

thumbs up thumbs up I beat my horse up once , trying to get her off of my at that moment crushed bone foot. I tried pushing against her, she leaned my direction. I tried to lift her foot she fought against me. I hit her in the flanks she still would budge off my foot. I slapped her in the face and she still would move. I finally grabbed her throat and squeezed to try to cut off her air. She finally got off my foot. She crushed and broke several toe bones in my foot.doh laugh
