relationships should always be give and take, how can understanding even be had in a relationship with an attitude like this?
Comments or statements similar to "on my terms" sounds more like a prerequisite for making a major purchase not the making and building of a strong healthy relationship.

I don't have many demands, though RESPECT would be crucial. Not a demand though.... if I have to demand it, its not gonna be much of a relationship, is it?!
I think people have become accustomed to treating others rather shabbily these days.... disposable/throw away society. And, sadly, that attitude has overflowed into treatment of others and upon relationships, not just the material things any more....
But.... "on my terms"?? No, I believe I am flexible and accommodating towards others's wishes and feelings. But, by no means perfect... always room for improvement, eh?!
