I've absolutely NO idea!!! I have asked myself that often. I am not attracted to jerks, I am with MyLifeWithU on this one. They are clearly good liars and can carry off a "nice guy" persona if they feel so inclined.

What I don't understand is.... if you can successfully pretend at being a nice person, you can actually BE a nice person... much easier, surely??!! All this pretence seems like much harder work?? They should just be what they are pretending?!

Just don't get it, other than its manipulative and they usually use manipulative skills to compensate for not being able to get by on looks, wit, personality, intellect, etc. What they simply don't realise is that it speaks volumes about it deriving from their own insecurities and inadequacies and that others can deduce that. Shows that they're not very bright either then, eh?!

Best left to their own devices, me thinks?!

I appreciate all the responses that you guys and gals have given! Some of it was a little off topic, but that's how to keep the ball rolling, huh? :) Anyways, so basically from what I read I need to be more assertive (doing that), stop being so nice (VERY hard to do that), the realization that women will stay in a relationship or go for a "bad" boy because they lack the self-esteem to do something better for themselves, and society has put such a label on looks and money that personality doesn't count anymore.

It was interesting a couple of the comments talked about changing the income and weight description to get a lot more responses, but I don't feel that it's right to attempt to start a relationship based on lies. Isn't that half the reason I'm pissed off about these guys getting/abusing the women who deserve better? Because they lie all the time?

An old friend of mine just broke up with her fianceé because she found him cheating on her with another woman. Suprise, suprise. Of course, most of the friends that she wasn't allowed to talk to told her that he would ultimately not be the one for many a reasons. Just to throw it in, my last REAL girlfriend was 1½ years ago, when my fianceé said we should take a break, went up to Wisconsin with her friend for a week, and screwed another guy. Gotta love it...

Okay, for all you "pity potters" out there, I'm not trying to go "woah's me", I'm just throwing out the information I know. Anyways, thanks again for all the comments! Hope to see more!
