druidess6308: I believe that plants do feel pain. They are sentient, living beings just like you and me. This has been the biggest reason for being vegetarian I've heard before from the few I've known, is not killing animals because they're living beings...but it makes no sense to me when so is a vegetable or an herb. And so is a piece of quartz. Three kingdoms of life: animal, vegetable and mineral.
And I'm training for it to be my job to help guide others to eat right, but I do my best to refrain unless asked for my help.
One thing I'm learning is that not everyone thrives on a vegetarian diet. I'm a type A blood type, so I should actually be a vegetarian, though I can tolerate poultry and fish. Type O's need meat, as do type B's and some type AB's. So, it's not the ideal way to eat for all, and my training is towards helping people eat for optimal health and their individual needs.
The more I study nutrition and how what we eat affects our bodies, the more fascinated I am with this subject. I do want to make it clear, however, that I'm not in here to tell anyone that they're wrong, but out of curiosity. I have no desire to offend anyone.
sorry to break it to you but pain is a warning system that requires a brain to process info and a nervous system to transmit said info
plants no have brain nor nerves....thus plant no have pain !!!!
