Much as I love the online thing.. and in many ways it has opened up whole new avenues for me. (Which I use often)

I find it sooooo hard not to be near the people I really care about.

My friends.. People I'd like to socialise with A LOT.. and there are soooo MANY!

People I'd like to date.. (and more

) or hang around with.. to eat with.. to shop with... go dancing with.. To go out on trips.. help eachother move house.. paint.. garden.. nip in and out of each others houses.. Over for BBQs .. help eachother REALLY with the ups and downs... all that kind of thing.
I'd would LOVE to have some kind of meet one day... where we ALL show up.

There are sooo many people I would LOVE to spend 'Real time' with..
I know its not just me when I say that many of the people I am closest too in my life... are here. Soooo many I never want to lose touch with.. whose lives I want to see pan out.

Strange isn't it.. To feel so much for people you have never actually 'met'.. and to care about how they are .. and whats going on in their lives.. and to feel the need to help them in physical ways.. when you cant, and nope.. I'm not talking about sex (for a change)

I'm not necessarily talking about opposite sex relationships.. just the people in general. Some people, I have been talking to for ten years!.. and never never met.. Crazy..

Distance is a flippin pain in the ARSE!

I feel the same way Claayer. I have some friends I've become pretty close with on here. We call each other, text each other, etc. But we've never actually met! And when they're having a crisis & I really want or NEED to be there to help them, I can't. That is sooooo frustrating!

Distance IS a pain in the rear!!

Its Murphys Law that the people you get on with the best, are the ones that are far away..

All I can say is, never say never about meeting them (platonic friends or something more!!), and just enjoy getting to know them more over the weeks..

But I do agree, it CAN get frustrating!!

yes you are right.. we are.
BUT!.. most of the people I would prefer to spend 'real time' with.. are here... and its hard to know.. that MANY of the closest people you will never get to meet.
(tho Im going to try haha)

Yep, I've never been in a long distance relationship before. I don't really know how it's all suppose to come together and work. I am starting to realize that it takes a whole lot of patience. Yes, it's a big pain in my back side. Maybe I like the complications, not sure...

Yeps.. I have done the long distance thing a few times.. that IS (very) frustrating.

But I do find it so hard when I know (sometimes) we are all sat at home bored.. and could be all out doing something together..
and instead.. we are yapping on a screen.

Hi Claayer! You had already vanished by the time I got here! LOL! But anyway, I've enjoyed reading over some of your threads. Although I've only been here a little over two months, I grown quite attached to some very precious people. I'm glad I've had the opportunity to enhance my life with these new friends. And as you stated, I'd love to be able to meet everyone and just hang out and do things just as RL friends do.
