I've met loads of people in the past via the internet - and many are still friends............. but I didn't meet 'the love of my life' via the internet; she lives in another country and we both make a few sacrifices to see each other once every three weeks.

I also know what you mean by friends you meet via the internet (not just people you want to do naughty things with) - and I have friends who've travelled quite far (several thousand miles) to visit me and vice versa.

You need to set up a 'Friends of Claayer who want to meet Claayer' thingy and book up an entire local hotel and charter a plane and stuff - make an effort, dammit! laugh

sweetowen: I feel the same way Claayer. I have some friends I've become pretty close with on here. We call each other, text each other, etc. But we've never actually met! And when they're having a crisis & I really want or NEED to be there to help them, I can't. That is sooooo frustrating!


I have several very good friends here on CS, mainly GF's. And when there have been crises, in every sense of the way, we have been there for each other. By phone, chat, skype. There is always a way, these days with all the modern tech stuff available. All except physical touch, they haven't perfected that one yet. Give it time!laugh
