Well Mr. "LifeIsGreat" do your own research and look at all the inventions, scientific breakthroughs. How many of them were done were americans and how many of them were done by foreign born americans. Algore DIDNT invent internet moron, lol. He was behing it but not actually technically invented it. Look at all the doctors, engineers, scientists, astronauts how many of them were born outside of usa. Look at your major universities, how many of the students in them doing their Masters or PhD are foreign students. Look at most of the professors in your top universities , how many of them are foreign born. America provides a great environment and atmosphere for people to succeed. The american people in general are very good people. We foreigners benefit from america but DONT forget you benefit more from us. America wouldnt be a world leader in the fore-front of technology if all the foreigners decide to return back. All the amazing research wont be happening if the major force behind them the universities research assistants werent doing the great work. And they happen to be foreingers.

The dutch man was only giving his opinion and wanted to know what the general american opinion was. But because of your ignorance you got all defensive.

By the way next time When you put gas in your car REMEMBER it came from a foreign contry.

By the way you start ranting out here

Of course I can say the same VERY VERY proudly. Also as a matter of fact your country invited me here for my specialized knowledge. So I feel sorry for you writing your country is so great and all but you keep depending on foreingers for all things that require "intelligent" people. How many of you here even went to a school....

Emm don't get me wrong, but have you actually been to any other countries? If you walk into the research department of any big company, in any country in the world, and find more then 20% of the researchers working in there actually being from that country I will give you my years pay.. And if they do come up with a new invention (witch hasn't been done since the transistor btw) but if they do, that country will still be credited with said invention...

Thanks WindRider, my point was not to critisize anyone or any nation. Its a world of globalization. Certain nations worked hard , had good circumstances and they are doing very good now. They are able to provide the kind of environment where everyone can grow. As most foreingers are greatful to america, americans should also be grateful to us instead of acting like small kids. Well we did this , we did that, we own that. I wrote my comments in response to some morons who always say - its my country go back if you dont bow down to me.

They dont seem to comprehend how world economy works. USA cannot be what it is without the "help" of other countries. It cannot survive without other countries, it needs to coexist and all nations are equally important.

Imaging oil exports are stopped, what will happen to your economy. The most expensive thing in keeping a military going is oil. If you take out oil your military wont move. So many nations buy arms from usa, they account for big billions of dollars contracts. The foreign students who come here for their BS pay very high fees. Those fees reduce the dependence of the state schools on the already weak state finances and allow more poor american students to get their degrees. Almost all the stuff sold in usa, is made in some other country. What is all those foreigners stop working. What if those items were made in usa itself. Imagine what would be the costs of the items would be. And that same effect would bring down the salaries, and standard of living here. US is a awesome amazing nation but it does depend on other nations just as everyone else does. So for all thore morons who get defensive about their country just be humble and not be arrogant. No one is critising it they only want to know their opinion.

I have heard numerous times when I say something a particular thing in usa. The immediate response I get back is well if you dont like it leave. But that just shows the level of education people have. By education I mean not just academic.

I see your point but you are being to critical of one nation and everywhere else is innocent in your opinion.. Let me give you one example in a million

Lets Take the computer

If you go to Russia they will tell you they invented the computer and give you the story how and who

If you go to Britain they will tell you they invented the computer and give you the story how and who.

If you go to Germany they will tell you they invented the computer and give you the story how and who

And of course the Americans will too and there is probably a little truth in all of that but none of these countries will admit any foreigners were involved

I just used the computer for an example I could go on and on

All I'm trying to say is you could make the same complaint anywhere you go

Well my opinion about the U.N is that it's a joke.. They warn countries over and over again and make threats that never happen.. After all if you warn someone 12 times or more about the same thing and still nothing happens They will just laugh about your warnings.. The U.N. is a good idea in theory just like communism but as history has taught us it just don't work..
