Very interesting statement.........I don't know but seems as though I still search for that answer.....

True love can exist. It takes two that truly know what true love means finding each other. Most people are not able these days. They are like fleas that think they are butterflies.

I use to believe it existed with all my heart;but,anymore,I wonder if true love to men means a good roll in the hay until the next female comes along with a better chunk of money to help support their sorry butts!
This is not all males;but,alot of them,in my opinion.
I would like to meet an honest and true man that knew what the words (TRUE LOVE)means!

Does true love exist anymore? I guess my first question, I am wondering, if true love ever existed at all. Like a few other things, it is all a matter of terminology as far as what true love is, and if it exists at all. Much like the term soulmate. It sounds good, but do such things truly exist or is it just a romantic term of endearment?
Plato said, "There are no answers, just more quetions." For every answer we can come up with, it merely leads to more questions. My second question is, "what is true love, what distinguishes it from other less powerful forms of love?" A headache making question for sure.
In my mind I see there is several types of love or loving someone. The love you have for your sibling is different from the love you have for your parents, as is the love you have for a person you are attracted to is different still. They are all love, but different facets of the same emotion.
In true love we are probably dealing with the love we have for a significant other. I personally break this down to two types of love. 1) loving someone, and 2) being in love with someone. They are completely different schools of thought. You can love someone, yet at the same time not be in love with them. As most people find, as they go through life, we sometimes love a person, but we are not in love with them. This can be a sad situation. Especially if you were 'in love' with them at one point. We can still love someone, but no longer be in love with them.
I better wrap this up before I get anymore confusing. Although, it should be quite clear. Most love is true love, if it is given unconditonally, from the heart with no selfishness or expectatons for anything in return. It must blossom on it's own.
In conclusion, I come up with two words. Blind faith. If you believe there is such a thing as true love, then there is. You just have to believe it. However, if you do not believe it exists, then it does not.
If you give someone your heart, and they give theirs back, then a commitment is made. Only when both people are mature enough live up to this commitment does it have a chance. This if anything, is true love.

I truly believe that statement.. With society nowadays and the values that were instilled in us as children from our parents , their parents and so forth.. You dont see that anymore.. People have gotten loose and dont have that commitment anymore.. I hope to find that one man that will love me forever.. I am hopin someday that we will look into eachothers eyes and that will be it... I know that I maybe in a fantasy land.. Every one has to have something to believe in ..

That statement sort of conterdicts iself. Once we set boundries, then they are there. We all have boundries. However, it is like a game where we all make the rules as we go.
I guess to be a little clearer the statement would be:

"True love is unconditional. Pure love has no boundries, until we as humans set them to please ourselves."

In essense, the same thing. Perhaps I am just being to over analytical. lmao. I do like the statement though. I don't think enough people realize the "rules" do not exist. It is not written anywhere. No book of etiquette, no do's and don'ts. We come into a relationship or should with an "empty cup." We ask that our lover fill that cup, but within seconds of them starting to pour, we start telling them what we want and what we expect. All based on how WE were raised and our moral and ethical backgrounds. This often is what causes love to go sour. The boundries we set to please ourselves. (just a reflection)

yes but the same goes for the woman. I have had that experience with women, just a roll in the hay take my money and screw someone else in my own bed. I still belive it is out there, just have not found it yet. And i am getting to old, and maybe that i cannot or will not ever find it.
