Hi southerngurl I have found something new for me to do here in the Ozarks. Grap my camera and hit the hills. Last weekend I went to hawksbill crag it was a nice hike but its not what I was looking for, so I shale keep looking tell I find what ever it is to see and capture it with a simple CLICK.

did you know that arkansas have one of the largest waterfalls from the smoky mountains to the rocky's its at ponca ( Hemmed-In-Hollow Falls ) the falls are 209 ft and if seen at the right time of year its a sight to be seen.

I know it sure is beautiful up that way. I have been up there and heard the elk and even got to see a couple..at first I thought they were cows!!

lol yeah the elk here are about as smart as cows also. But thay are cool to watch I guess. I have a place that I sit and watch them. Each year there is this bull elk that leads the cows, he walks into this field from the west side heads to the center and looks around to make sure its ok then the cows and the young bulls enter the field. Maybe I'll get to take some pic's of them this year. I've not been down around little rock much but there is some cool places around there. Have you ever been to the crater of diamonds state park in Murfeesboro? I have not, but I think it would be fun to go look for diamonds. Well I have some work to do now so guess I'll go. later southerngurl.

I have drove by it like 100 times but have never been there...it woud be so neat to go and find something out there...even if it wasn't a good quality diamond just to be able to say I did!!

lol Im not sure I could drive by it and not stop. Someday I'll make plans to go look for a diamond. I also need to look up Petite Jean Mountain I dont even know where it is, but I would like to go see it. I think I'll go do that now.

Did you look up Petite Jean State Park? I haven't looked at it on the web but I know in person it is a beautiful place. There is a huge love story that goes along with it. there is a beautiful waterfall there with a walking trail.

Hi Southern Yes I looked it up there is like 20 miles of hiking trails there also I did'nt read the story behind it tho, but I'll do that before I go to bed tonight. This is a must see on my list now thank you very much. With out your word of Petite Jean Mountain I would have missed this spot and now its a must see. Do you like caves?

Ok southern you did'nt say that the love story was a sad one I do think its cool how she made the trip over without anyone knowing she was a she not a he. wow that kind of sounds like a talk show story when I put it that way. So sad tho. Oh did you see the waterfall also?
