i think alot of it is due to low self-esteem, but don't quote me on that.

THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED ANY OTHER WAY AND IT IS A HABIT THAT THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHANGE
OR MAYBE YOU JUST HAVEN'T MEET THE RIGHT ONE TO TREAT THE RIGHT WAY
THERE ARE SOME THAT HAVE BEEN TREATED BAD AND READY FOR A CHANGE AND TO BE ABLE TO TRUST AGAIN

I have never, generally, known any women who what to be treated bad.
There may have been abuse in their background, growing up as children
and the treatment seems normal to them. Often times, they find out that
getting treated in that manner is horrible for their children to
experience so they often try to get help for themselves through some
kind of therapy.

There is no excuse for anyone to treat another with anything less than
respect, understanding and caring. Life is meant to be lived in joy
and happiness (which is entirely possible). Hard times happen but if
theirs is a committed relationship, they move through tough times to-
gether without too much drama.
