It is all relative. If you have interests that a certain place can't provide, then it is a sh*t hole. On the other hand, if it has what you like, then it is a great place. What's there not to love about Kentucky, when you have horse racing, boubon, Kentucky football & basketball, bourbon, beautiful women, bourbon, wildlife (as in real animals), beer, some of the best fishing in the US, boubon, history.....etc. and did I mention boubon.......rolling on the floor laughing head banger drinkpouring: thumbs up

In most cases I would agree. I have lived all over the country and have been all over the world. Until now I had always moved back to my birth state of Michigan. Kentucky is the first state other than Michigan I have actually called home. The only thing I miss from up there other than family is fishing the big lakes, salmon and steelhead in the rivers and hunting da UP, eh.

I have lived in a few different states and I was born in Indiana but I have to say that Kentucky is home. I have some family here but they all live at least 2 hours away from where I live and my best friend lives here nearby. She is my family too. Kentucky just feels like home and feels right to me.

I live in Wilmore.. Home of the Asbury College... It gets boring down here for it is a small town with nothing much to do.. But most everyone here is friendly.. It's the only town that I've ever been in were you can walk into the post office and everyone there talks to you like they've know you all your life..

I wish that I could find a woman here..

Well, the thing that happened with me, is that I grew up her and lived here until I was 12.. I had friends galore!!! Then my Parents moved away and I lost contact with everyone that I knew.. If they had just stayed here I probably would have married a very good woman.. For I knew a lot of girls when I was 12..

Anyway, I moved back to Wilmore a couple of years ago with my daughter who lives with me and is now 16 and who I love very much.. She's my life, movie and dining partner..

I live in Georgetown, KY, after being raised in California. There is so much congestion and traffic. I love this small town because its easy to get to your destination.

I am hoping to relocate to the Edmonton/Bowling Green area at some point. I've always loved that area. It's just one of the many possibilities for me. I'm also considering parts of TN. I've always loved those 2 states and look forward to a nice place in the country to enjoy the rest of my life.

I think you'll appreciate the Winters here a lot better than up North, unless you love very cold and snowy Winters. I lived near Toledo Ohio most of my life and now being back home, I'm lovin it! wave

Actually, I do enjoy the cold and snow. I just happen to like KY and TN better than PA. It's time for a new start for me and I might as well make that start in a place I'll enjoy.

Have a good one!
