hey i think if they under 25yrs old and living at home with mommy or daddy is fine but after that, grow up and move out.

Honeslstly depends on how connected and why.

Overall, at my age, I am stunned if the parents are there, but it isnt a damning thing for the girl.

Hell, I value connactions to family... just keep some independance too.

yes that helps with the parents if thay are old or weak I have to do that and look over a deadbeat kid srry that was me being weird.

I have to agree that guys over 25 living with mom or dad is a little odd, but the same goes for women too, I don't stereotype...I can see when it is a temporary arrangement to get out of a tuff situation, but a year is the max.

Now, this is my own personal observation, but the men I have chatted with that live at home, and I do say "chatted with" not dated...they have issues with anger, coping skills, obsession... hahaha...

I met all the weird ones...not one is productive, or in college, ok maybe that is a bit exaggerated...I did meet a brilliant mind, but he does not do much for himself.
I also have chatted with a guy that is taking care of his mom, and is the sweetest guy, an older man.

Did I just stereotype? Lol....ouch, I might had hit a nerve with someone...thanks again to all of you for responding.

it depends on why they still live with their mother & father!!

I'm 48 and live with my mom. My 2 brothers are married and have families. Myself, NM and no children. Dad died about 8 years ago, mom had a severe heart attack almost 3 years ago. It's me with her, or she's in a nursing home, period. No way in $^%$!! hell is that going to happen. I take care of all the paperwork, bills, legal crap, yardwork, etc. What the heck? It's a big house, plenty of room, and no one's on anyone else's nerves.

You know I have done that but you know something I need someone that has just as much as I can give to him that he can give to me .. I live alone not with my parents nor would I ever go back.. Its called INDEPENDENCE and they need to find it.. My name says it all..

Yes I would because someone's circumstances shouldn't determine whether or not they are stable. What if they are in school? Saving up for a home? Apartments are pretty expensive - as long as if we begin serious dating, he brings me over so that the excuse doesn't turn into suspicion, and he ends up either secretly married or living with a significant other, LOL!

I have a friend who lived at home for 2yrs until he was able to purchase a home, and now he loves it!

Hello my name is phillip i'm 38 yrs old i live at my mothers house . I moved out when i was in my late twentys , i rented 4 about 3 yrs then i bought 2 houses with my ex wife , was in 13 yr relationship. dvcd 2yrs now ihave a 5yr old girl that lives with her mother . now i have her every other weekend and special occasions .I pay cld supp.
my father died 13 years ago . my mother lives alone with her pets in her own home .
while i'm living here i do chores to help around the house like , sno plowing in the winter months , shovelling , sanding . during the summer i cut the lawn , trim hedges , open up the in ground pool , close in winter. oh yea there's painting the interior of the house .i do pretty mutch everything i had to do when i owned my house . I pay rent ,I pay for my own car ins. gas , maintenance . I do my own laundry , my room is in the basement . my daughters room is upstairs with a full bathroom off of it . .
Oh did i mention that i'm the only child you know no brother or sister .
I LOVE MY MOTHER I do my best to take care of her . plus i'm saving to buy another house .

SO my question is would you go out with someone that was living under these circumstances ?

I think it all depends on the the reason why they're living at home. If it's someone that's just gotten out of a bad relationship and has moved back in with their parents or someone that's taking care of an elderly parent, I'd have no problems with dating them.
However, if they're in their late 20's on up and have never lived on their own, then while I might be friends with them as a dating prospect I probably wouldn't.
Personally, my mom is living here with me. She's retired and it's getting harder for her to get around. I don't belive in shutting people away in nursing homes, to me that's like just throwing them away. Yes, this has been a deal breaker, at times, but I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with a woman who didn't feel the same way that I do towards their parents.

Hi I'm Nick i'm 25 years old, i joined the military when i was 17 years old. I got hurt pretty bad over seas and was not able to physically take care of myself so i moved back in with my mother when i was 22. Soon as i was capable i moved into my own apartment. Now though I am living with my 77 year old grandmother. She fell Ill about 2 years ago, and i am a construction worker now, and pretty much the only one in my family that could quit my job move on short notice and (back then) have no troble finding another job. So i guess to answer your question, yea i would date someone who still lived at home so long as it was a viable reason. I mean if she was a complete slacker with no job, not in school, no ambition except to get the high score in the latest video game craze, then deffinately not. But someone in a similiar situation to my own i would have no problem with them living at home.
