Why is it when someone makes a promise, they always seem to go out of their way to break it?

Kkitty, what do you think? confused Have you ever met anyone that you hated so much that you went out of your way to lie to them and break their heart? I know you would never do that but I thought maybe you could help me understand it. You're very good at seeing outside the box.devil

Anyone else want to chime in here?

Has your heart been broken?

Some people will lie, lie, lie... tell you whatever they think you want to hear. Some are pathological liars about anything and everything, even things that don't matter. And heart breakers are the worst... I haven't yet figured out why, but am getting better at avoiding them.

My dad reaches out to me once in a while; though not to choke me... reminds me of what is truly important wink

I don't believe we can come back for revenge or retribution or he would surely have jacked up most of my siblings frustrated greedy and clueless sigh

I know how you feel. Personaly, I don't make promises I can't keep but I have been on the receiving end of promises not kept. I guess I feel that people like that don't really care. If someone really cared for you they would do everything in their power to keep their promises.
The best thing to do is try to move on and find someone who does care enough about you to be honest and mean what they say.
