I live alone in a bottom floor apartment.Have a nieghbor upstairs that gets up early and starts this goose stepping...like german or russian troops during a march for some important leader. This is a heavy person but digs their heels as they walk.Impossible to read or sleep when this person is there.Any suggestions short of taking my 9mm auto and start shooting the ceiling full of holes?I'm just kidding on that but...I have joked about it in private.ha.
I really hate to bitch about these things because it was my choice to live in an apartment.I am bond by lease. If I still drank..I would be drunk now!blues

There are 2 things you can do....advise you landlord of the strong stepping and ask if they would say there have been anonymous complaints. Or get a long drill bit and start following the sound. LOL
Good luck. :)

I know how you feel mick. The people living in the room above me in the dorms feels the need to jump up and down at 1AM and again at 7AM or so for some unknown reason. Seeing as how my usual sleep routine goes from 12:30AM to 10/10:30AM, this is often a problem. My suggestion would be to either talk to the landlord or to go up there and ask him to be quiet. You could also try wearing earplugs, but that might interfere with your ability to hear your alarm clock, and it might not do anything to help with general vibrations. The chances are pretty good that if you have a complaint about the noise that others have a complaint about it too.
