I agree with krash that most people in LV are rude but there are good people. When I first moved here I thought I was going to have to pick up and leave right away. People would run you off the road and never say hello at all. To find good people you just have to keep looking. Take me for example: I have a good job and go to church ever Sunday. OK - There are lots of people like me but all you have to do is take a chance on me and find out. I will give you ther shirt off my back and expect nothing in return. Must be the Minnesota nice in me..........

I am a native here in Las Vegas and I've seen alot of change in vegas. Vegas pretty much was the "old style" until around 1990 and then it got the influx of people moving here and it kept increasing on how many each month and now an average of 7000 people moving here every month minus the few people that move away and vegas has become a giant city. we have people here from other regions, countries etc. now and it just keeps getting bigger. Suprisingly Las Vegas is building communities in arizona

I am a Vegas native - lived here 27 years and then went to Colorado, Utah and Alaska. This time I have beeen here since July - this year. I can relate to how you feel. I thought people were fluent with their middle finger on the freeway! My first day I was ready to get back in the U-Haul and get out of her. However, after the initial shock, I met some very friendly, happy, outgoing kind people - by accident actually. I am guessing it gets better the longer you are here - or you are simply getting used to it - the place is growing on you!! grin Yes, this city has changed drastically since I was a tot! The comment about the 1990s population explosion is true - the town changed overnight it seemed like. One good thing, if you need to vent, you have the blogs and forums online! grin

I also am a vegas native 42 years , I remember when there was actually desert here. I was sitting in my bed room last night , and heard some idiot cap off 9 gun shots in a about 5 seconds. I used to know everybody in my neighborhood. I'm lucky if I even know five now. This town was great when the mob ran it . Now it getting worse with every car load that come across the state lines. There are a lot of solid good people but there is also a great amount of trash. Im personally ready to split this town been here way to long.
