I cannot resist the urge to reply to this question with another question:

if sex came first would anyone be as motivated to date afterwards or rather would sex be considered " the date"?

although I probably would not be alone in preferring the sex first, I also think that the process of a relationship should not be underminded ! It is my opinion, depending on the length of time two people have been dating that having sex before the date would undermine this process unless my date and I, for example, have already been dating for a long time and we both felt comfortable about it.

Because you don't have sex with just anybody that you meet. You Date someone for a while to see if you're compatible. Ever heard of self-gratification?

Another question to be posed? Would you really want to marry a woman who is willing to have sex on the first date?

Doesn't sound like she'd have much self-respect, and it doesn't sound like the man would have much respect for her either.

Sex should come first, too many people put sex on a pedstole. What is the point of getting to know someone first, its just sex. Besides no matter how much you get to know the person, if the sex is bad your gonna want out of the relationship, and anyone that says differently they are lying. ITS JUST SEX!!!!

I have to know the person that i'm with before i pop the question about sex. But that question is one i never had to ask yet, they always just grab me and say lets get it on.... But the main reason why it is important to know the person that you are with first is the (fact) of the many (STD's) that are spread around. Someone can look very good to u, and u want to have sex right away.. But look at what your risking, not all people want to tell you the truth about them, that they have a disease. Because it will stop them from having sex.....So i don't prefer it right away, i like to know the person first. Sex can wait........
