I was hoping someone could suggest the best local venues, hangouts, events etc. for the 40 and over crowd. Not that I don't feel younger. I made the mistake a while back thinking that downtown Bricktown would be a nice place to walk around until I noticed that every one appeared to be 21 and under. head banger

Regarding bricktown, I might add the fact that the Gestapo are waiting like vultures at 2am with the party van! Also, the plethora of d-bags and superficial hooker look-alikes. No, thanks! Anyway, I know how you feel. I am 37, but I don't give a damn. I go out to get down to some funky beats in a predominantly positive atmosphere, not particularly to socialize. I wish I could suggest a place, but I'm sitting here enjoying some great music of my own choosing, and breathing clean fresh air! Ahhhhh.
It is a little lonely, though.

You said venue..well I go to the Diamond Ballroom when a band I like comes through town...always have a blast.They have shows most every week there.
There is a club called the
Roadhouse on 39th st,they have live music on weekends,without the bricktown vibe.....good luck.cheers
