I met a guy once from the net that turned out to be married. There were several women caught up in his scam. We all caught him and let him eat s--t for awhile. He severly paid for his idiocy.

no... i wasn't complaining about here... was speaking of profiles in general... i don't have a problem with a few extra pounds... i saw one woman who said "a few", then proceeded to say she weighed in at 350lbs... yikes!!!

ditto with your pics here, i guess i didn't make myself clear that my comments were from experiences over the years in various match sites... i need exercise/walking myself to get rid of the winter chubs...

i met this one woman, just chatting which i don't do a lot of... she was actually still living with her guy and was offended that i didn't want a relationship with a woman who isn't single...

whatsoever, folks, i didn't mean any harm... but i think there are some stories to tell...

i'm 62, and don't look it or sound it... one woman [she contacted me!] recently was 26 years old... i mean, i could be older than her grandmother! in fact, that's an interesting subject... i have a hard time figuring out what age woman would be a good match... i think that under the right circumstances, age would not matter... would it???

You are correct; there are many to watch out for online. Many frauds as well as pure scammers. Be careful.

lol I like this one because i've noticed alot of this too and read alot of comments about ppl that have put average or athletic but really weren't.
The one option I wish they all did have though would be seperated only because I can't afford a divorce because that would be my choice and I wouldn't have to explain to people that there will not be a time when we get back together.

Mine is when they asked what they desire in a mate it is "any" down the page. Anyone who deos not care who they hook up with is not someone I would want to be with.

No Games...Everyone says this but they all play their fair share, for just once I wish someone would devulge what horrible memory is in their mind when they talk about "no games". I don't think this statement is based upon a general desire but rather a past hurt.

I don't know... I didn't include the whole "no playing games" schpeel into my profile, because I think everyone does.. yes including me to a certain degree, and much to my chagrin. Games are ok as long as the rules are made known in advance, and up to a point I believe they can be healthy.

What I can't handle is the drama that seems to come from those "games", and from certain people. I lead a relatively quiet life. I don't butt my nose into everyone elses' affairs, because I just don't want to hear who did what to whom, and for how many cookies!

When people state "Love Life", "Love Living Life"... If you don't love living life, you are usually dead..

Looking for some sort of/any sort of fantasy. Women, it's NOT like you can bite into whatever your favorite chocolate bar is and POOF! Your fantasy comes true... So QUIT trying to emulate that through your profiles.

As mentioned before, a "few" extra pounds does NOT mean 100 EXTRA pounds... A few was always meant to be 3 or around that area... That was BEFORE the wordsmithing from Big Brother.

Also, the photo issue. If you do NOT post a photo, you should be locked-out from being ever present on these sites. Then, if you do not update your photo, say at least once a year, you should be booted from these sites.

I keep seeing the very same photos that I had seen back in 97, 98, 99... What gives?

Games... Yeah, we ALL play them. THAT is why we never hook-up with anybody. Too many games and not enough outright truth.

I remember the times I felt like I was going on blind dates regardless of the women's photos because for some reason they looked much thinner in the photos... Then in person they just blew-out an extra 50 to 80 pounds.

Get past the BS and we can move forward on these sites and start seeing more success stories.

People who say they just want to hang out and chat. Trust me, if you're on this site, you already HAVE plenty of friends. Myspace is better for networking, anyhow.

People who won't specify smoking/drinking. To some of us, that's a very important trait (I don't smoke or drink, and i'd prefer to find a woman that doesn't, either).

People who decide to e-mail you, then never respond back to yours. At least tell me i'm borderline creepy. I like compliments.

yeah those things seem to be the main downfall of these single dating sites.

yeah what makes me mad is someone from out of state only interested in discreet sex!!!
