Quite a few of the other local forums have several posts, conversations, local get togethers, etc. Seems like Oklahoma is lagging behind. Is anyone else interested in having conversations with locals?

I would be interested. So far, I've spent most of my time in the Int'l forum. I have a few ideas for threads, so we'll see what happens.

Just a suggestion but how about jobs and wages in Ok. Maybe even where are the fun places to go where single parents can take their kids and get together with others. I think the kids would really enjoy that and they would also meet new friends. If all else fails--there is always the lakes and what lake would be best for alot of get to gathers. Hope you all come up with something. The long distance relationships are very difficult.Best wishes.

i dont see anything wrong with oklahoma. maybe you live in to big of a town? i live in a fairley small town, but im 50 miles from tulsa, or okc, and less than 30 miles from shawnee, or stillwater. also i have a winter place in texas, 6 miles from the mexican border, where the weather is warm in the winter time, but i come back to oklahoma in the spring. i like it here. sometimes u got to get out and look. it isnt going to come to you

Had a job in a new restaurant, met my sweetie. Got offered another job, tried it out, no go. Working from home and creating my own job. I may have to work two jobs, or run my own business.

I haven't been an active single parent in years. My kid grew up, went to college and then I moved to OK, so I got nuthin'. We used to take all the kids to Ardmore and Wichita Refuge.

My boyfriend took me to Six Flags and we had dinner with my daughter and her husband, last Saturday. He wants to meet the kids at Six Flags, for another get together. My daughter says Hell yeah! She also asked if the dog was welcome at our house.

Sorry, only been a single lady in OK. No kids. Had a long-distance thing for a while, I prefer up-close and personal, these days.
