I know.. I have met a few but it seems Portland and Vancouver has a pleathora of them.. Move to Central Oregon , some of the best girls are here.

I agree I have been in portland for about a month now and I sometime I wonder how I got here. Then I remember that I lived on a bus for three days to come here. But anyways all the dating sites are some what like this. You search for the one that jumps out and knocks you off your feet. It is a long and not always fun search. But I still try, I know I'm not the most handsome guy out there. But I am nice and treat women right so I have faith and I know she is out there somewhere. I am a good guy but if you read everyone's post they all start looking the same. And then you add the spamers into the bunch and it just makes things worse. Then you have the pics which most people look better in real person then on their profile or the other way around. Depends on perception at least it would be my guess.
So I wish everyone luck and a great day.

I really hate to say this but I think he's right! I'm trying to change that though and find the good guys. They just seem to be harder to find than the bad boys.

Nobody is perfect. We may be born that way, but as we are raised in this heinously evil society, we learn coping mechanisms that prevent us from being harmed by others. These are taught to us by our families, by the media, by popular culture, our friends...

We become accustomed to pain and suffering, so we lash out at others for no apparent reason. We forget how to take care of our basic wants and needs. We don't actually listen to eachother in conversation. We put on these blinders, and put up these walls.

Noone is truly good or bad. Some of us are just more empathetic towards others than some. Many people are unable to put themselves in someone else's shoes, and to empathize with their situation.

End result = a bunch of people running around trying to fuck each other without caring what the other person may be experiencing.

It's just sad...

Here's a hint to the woman who started this thread; open your ears, close your mouth. If you want to find a "good man", you will have to relearn a lot of things; namely, ignoring outward appearances, not looking for "The Knight in Shining Armor", not expecting another person to complete you, etc etc...

You know, .. honestly it's hard to find good locals because good locals have no problem with their smile and charm to get that person walking by to jump into a restaurant with them... but even those locals that are good have baggage and tissues that even net surfdaters have.
