I reckon I must be the exception - I've never found it hard to show my love for a woman. My EX however, found it hard to RECOGNIZE that I was showing my love and appreciation; After many thousands of dollars worth of landscaping had been done (by me!) she had one of the prettiest yards - complete with flower gardens, vegetable garden and arbor w/built in benches for romantic evenings, sipping wine - in town. Then one evening as we sat on the upstairs sun porch, she asked "Well, if you REALLY care, how come you never bring me flowers?!!" I grabbed her hand and escorted her to the railing and pointed to the gardens spread out below us. "Because I CARE, you ALWAYS have flowers!"

The next evening, before she got home, I cut some flowers and put them in a vase on the kitchen table with a note. She came home, saw the flowers and read the note and told me that if I REALLY cared, she wouldn't have had to BEG for them! ...I moved out two weeks later.

That was really sweet of you. The world needs more thoughtful men like that.

Actually, I agree with you! As far as that goes, the world needs more thoughtful folks, period!

I'm just glad that I've found a lady who appreciates my efforts and tells me I've done good even when I think I could have done better. TOGETHER she and I are building the kind of life that neither of us has ever really had, but have longed for all our lives.

If more folks put the kind of thoughtfulness into their relationships that Jackson and I put into ours, I don't think there would be quite such a demand for dating sites. Although I will forever be indebted to CS for bringing the two of us together.

She will always have flowers because I will continue to make new beds and plant flowers for her. I will do that because I love her. One of the reasons I love her is because she loves me for the effort I put into insuring that she will always have flowers...

wow, I couldn't of said it better...the woman failed to recognize how the man was obviously showing his emotions. it may come financially, verbally, physically, whichever method he has learned in growing up to use. it could the woman is looking for a specific method of expressing his emotions. when she doesn't see that specific method it turns into doubt.

men are funny creatures,but women are also, but to me its easy to show someone love if i do,and like it returned,but thats just me,,
