In about a month I will be having surgery on my right big toe, to remove a bone spur and have been told:" you will be given conscious sedation, a local on your toe and you shouldn't feel anything and this is in and surgery and when you leave, you will have a special slipper shoe to wear on your foot and recovery will take a while.”
Has anyone here had this type of surgery? If so, what was your experience from the time you were admitted for surgery, recovery, went home and did you have much pain and when were you able to walk again? Did the surgery help?
