i am about ready to throw in the towel on online dating....most responses are from people that are overseas even though my profile says "LOCAL" only please. is it my profile? too honest about what i want or not enough? not being patient? where's my soulmate?comfort

Your profile is fine, there is just something about the online dating world that shuts up the majority of people local to you and opens up those living afar. I promise you, you are not alone. The online world requires a different degree of patience than in the real world, expect a lot of your time on here to be wasted.

You just have to be patient dear....You will find someone to melt your butter..LOL Hell I would ask you out...but the distance is too far! Have you tried Tagged dot com...its a very cool site. I have made alot of new friends on there.....seems to be more user friendly also!! best of luck to you!!

Well, if you were in Kent, you would already have someone. cheers But having no car, it would have to be long-distance.

I know exactly how you feel. I've been single for four years and have also been trying the online dating those four years. I've gone on one actual date, the few other times I've tried meeting a guy I've been stood up.

Can never find a guy around here that's interesting and my type. I'm thinking I'll have to move to find him which is depressing and out of the question with the current economy.

I just want my man to love. :(

It is made a lot harder because when guys do send notes or messages to women they get deleted without a response or no response. This is what turns a lot of guys away from responding to ads. I would consider having a discussion with you and see where it leads. Let me know if interested.

well regardless, i TRY and answer All emails. i don't think that not answering an email here or there is not a reason to not get a date...where is black diamond anyway?

Everyone I have contacted online just ignores me? What the hell so I know how u feel I even talked to u a couple times and you dissapeared I'm guessing its the distance. Well keep looking you know what everyone says you'll find someone some day ( what a load of crap) ha ha
I think that in todays violent society, everyone is scared to date anyone.
I have e-mailed several ladies & all I get back are smileys. Guys hate smileys.

Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince.....and patience is a virtue but I totally get your problem I am on several sites and I get guys from the UK all the time or from way to far away and then they have the nerve to get mad because you tell them that they are way too far away??? whats up with that???

I have to agree with several things on this post.

There's gotta be someone out there. People keep finding them, but just not us yet.

I keep having trouble with just my location. Being on the Kitsap Penninsula is a great hindrance. Most people are Seattle metro or south. Have met some great ladies, but they're just too far away to meet for coffee without serious planning as it would be an all day trip.

So I know how you feel. I empathize completely. I'm hoping to find someone, someday.sad flower
