Hello! Roane County here. I work in Charleston. Not much going on in West Virginia.

i agree with you. i dont have much but what i do i share with strangers, i always offer the senior citizens, older than me with their groceries, housecleaning, etc. not too many good semaritans left, PAY IT FORWARD

OK West Virginians, we need to get this thing going and talk about what there IS going on in our beautiful state. Maybe if we tell each other what events are coming up in your areas, we could get together and do these events together as a group.

Hi,
I'm this real WV lady from Rivesville. It is between Morgantown and Fairmont, WV. I teach school and have been teaching in WV for 34 years. I've been in the mountains of Tucker County and Marion County teaching. I teach kindergarten. Many have passed through my classroom and hopefully I've touched the future in a positive way. These days I find myself working because there is no other life. I just pour myself into my teaching, work with the University training student teachers in the Benedum program. When I come home on the weekends or the Summers I can't stand the loneliness. I just didn't think that life would be like this. My children are raised and I feel this empty nest. I went out Christmas shopping today and came home depressed. I can remember times when it was so exciting and happy. I don't even want to hang a Christmas tree at home. The classroom is a different story. I thank God for that part of my life.

I don't want to spend Christmas, New Year's or the holidays alone so that is why I'm on here hoping to meet someone. I know those things do happen. People meet significant others everyday. ! get tired of going to events alone and many times just don't bother to go unless I have to. In my earlier years I used to wish for a day alone. Now, I am saying; "watch what you wish for"!

I do love the Mountain State. I can ski, swim, walk, ride a bike. I'm pretty active if I want to be.
