In my opinion yes it is better to have loved and lost...one day when all the negative emotions die down you will fondly remember the good times.....sad flower

saw the date so you are probably a lot better off by now, myself though? better to have loved and lost than never love at all, what a lonely life that must be.There are people who can live like this but i am not one of them.lips

I'll get to the point, I promise, so bear with me...

After I left school, I became an aircraft technician. At the time, it seemed great, then I realised it wasn't like I thought it would be, so I ended up leaving, feeling gutted and a failure. Over the next few years, a number of different jobs and trades suffered the same fate, then almost by accident, I ended up on a course which entailed computers. It was then I discovered my true calling.

My point is... sometimes you need a few failures to find out what isn't right for you, so that eventually you'll be able to narrow down your choices and know what kind of person you're likely to be compatible with.

You'll still have the occasional disaster, but hopefully you'll spot them before you've too much invested emotionally.
