Whats you favourite place to live or visit - and why ?

For me, to live - Galway - so full of life and fun and a stones throw from the Burren.

, to visit - Gavarnie in the France Pyranees - incredible hill-walks.

So, where am I missing out on folks.........

My favourite place to visit is a good pub, Noting like pulling up the auld high stool and ordering a pint of Guinness and watching it settle while checking out who else is in the pub, Then getting your pint, and enjoying a great night, hopefully meeting a few friends new and old.
I would have to say that Careys pub in Clara County Offaly is my favourite place in the world drinking drinking drinking

Yeah I was there a couple of years ago its fairly quiet which is what I was looking for at the time the crowd there are a bit older and settled its up in the mountains and has some nice places to eat. Hersonniss ( I know its the wrong spelling ) and the beach are a 15 min walk away and thats where all the action and night life is. Don't buy any of the tours from the reps you can usually pick them up on the streets for about half the price.

Vancouver.
I lived there for about five months when I travelled Canada. Just having the Pacific ocean on your doorstep and being surrounded by the Rockies, seeing them from downtown. Walking Sunset beach and English bay and Stanley Park. So much nearby as well. Even living downtown it never felt like a city, never felt claustrophobic, you'd see the seaplanes refuelling around Granville island with killer whales coming right up to them.

Just an amazing place.
