Your local pharmacy should be able to suggest effective drops, in the meantime go with your favourite painkiller and I'd probably go with anti-bacterial lozenges (e.g. Strepsils) to try and stave off infection (assuming it's bacterial) spreading to your throat.

Apparently garlic oil also works - some folk reckon it's a natural 'antibiotic' ...

wave hope your ear feels better by now, we always use peroxide to clean it out with and alcohol to dry it out, a few drops each. Now my mom used olive oil, i didn't want to go to school one day and and thought to use the excuse of an earache, wrong, wrong, wrong, i was (as i have heard beforerolling eyes laugh ) mom was half asleep and warmed it to warm, well actually it was freaking hot, i had an earache afterwards thats for sure! so don't warm it too much if you go with itblues grin

Be careful flying with an ear infection, it's really dangerous. If you're just off a plane, then you're lucky it hadn't flared up earlier.professor
Freind of mine burst a drum flying with an ear infection, he's half deaf now, honest. dropping jaw
