rizlared: Hi Tiger, from the voice of experience, I started an online affair with a wonderful Russian who lived in the Ukraine, rather than her come to me I went there, spent two glorious weeks in August 07 and then stated to arrange for a visa for her to visit me in the UK, the correspondence required is huge, we had to supply every email sent between us, well over 500, I had to provide proof of phone calls and copies of MSN exchanges,I paid over 100 pounds direct to the British Embassy for the visa, it was refused on the grounds that she had no reason to return to the Ukraine, so we arranged to meet in Turkey instead, we had a great time and I proposed which she accepted, on her return we started to apply again for a visa, this time as a fiancée, went through all the hoops, paid even more to the British Embassy direct, and even spoke to the assistant consul by phone, Svetlana travelled 24 hours by train to Kiev for the interview at her expense, turned down again, no reason given.
We were desolate and I decided that I would have to move to the Ukraine, but when I applied for a work visa I was refused, no reason given, when I told Svetlana she could not understand, that was the last time we spoke, March 15 2008, none of my emails replied to, no contact by either landline or mobile, both were dead, its as if she never existed. I eventually managed to contact her son who told me that his mother never wanted to speak to me again as I obviously had used and lied to her.
What could I say?, there is no way she would believe me now. take my advise, if you fall for a lady abroad and you are certain its real, go there and marry her there, then the visa cannot be revoked.
I wish you luck, dating can be a bloody pain in the arse, but the end result is worth it.
Ahh Bab, What are ya doing up at this time of night?? Sweetheart.... Time will heal all!!!!!!!!!! You are a gorgeous, kind and compassionate man!! Your 'time' will come - Mean time - Fancy meeting me for a pasty and a drink??????? ;) LOL
