symbolistartist: Thanks Gilly... I believe that your interest is sincere. Of course I can't spill out my guts here, that would be pretty naive don't you think? But right now I'm as upset as Internetexplorer wants me to be, that's the very truth and I'm sure he's feeling very smug when he sees this.

OK, despite saying I'd not add any more...

I am genuinely sorry that you are upset and I think it's a brave admission (and true emotion). Part of me does feel smug but we all have 'automatic' feelings and I don't agree with it!

It's human nature to try and make other's appear small (look at that unhelpful and stupid comment by Conrad73) but, sometimes people are really trying to be helpful by saying what they think is the truth.

You have amazing potential and I thought that we could be friends but was clearly wrong. You are looking for change in your life but nothing changes in anybody's life unless THEY change. Change CAN happen by accident - rather like winning the lottery but most lottery winners blow all the money quickly because they don't have a 'wealthy mindset'. Truly wealthy people make more and more wealth.

At the risk of yet again seeming to be arrogant and big headed, your feeling upset is an opportunity to learn a lesson and do things differently. Despite your cutting me down, my only intention ever was to help and offer friendship.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

I've met enough people who preach and want to shove their truth down other people's throats to want no more of that. If people are just being silly it's maybe annoying but one can look past it. To be attacked and trashed is quite a different thing. You really have no business telling me what I'm like and what I should be learning from life. Go and become a missionary somewhere if that's how you want to treat people! I recognize your positive intent and as I said to you earlier I felt that you projected a strange mix of positive and negative comments. Yes I have potential and my life is busy enough. Plenty enough people see right through me and don't have a problem with what they see. I'm not saying it to defend myself but to try and make you see that you really have no idea what is going on in my life and I don't owe you any kind of reference of what is REALLY going on. We could have been friends if you didn't have this need to preach. It's a very displaced way of helping, it's telling others what to do rather than helping them to help themselves IN THE CASE OF THEM WANTING TO BE HELPED. I have not asked for your assistance and so will not take any of it either. I'm sorry this is the way it is and I'm not going to pretend othewise just to make you feel good about yourself. I am perfectly aware of all the ways in which people manipulate others so no fooling me there.

InternetExplorer: This thread is a waste of time. Look at the people you are attracting – people who would rather talk about egg whisks and a man with silver paper for a hat (no offence gillyloves69, you sound a lot nicer and more intelligent than your photo suggest – what sort of woman would be attracted by that pic and name?). Your writing and profile are truly impressively intellectual and that’s great but you attract relationships not with the head but with the heart. Like your art, your writing lacks emotion.

Our outer life is a reflection of our inner life and no amount of intellectualising will get you a soul mate. As for restricting possible partners to art lovers, how many intellectual art lovers not in touch with their emotions are there in the world?

Despite talking about intuition and spirituality, almost everything you say comes from your head. I fully expect some strong criticism for saying this but I know nobody likes to hear the truth. People would rather spend their lives in illusion and fantasy and then, when they get old, wonder why their lives didn’t turn out the way they wanted.

You called me ‘bitter’ once before for telling the truth despite claiming that’s what you wanted in your profile. I have nothing to be bitter about, I am living the dream and have everything I want. When I was your age, I’d had two long and reasonably good marriages (I am on very friendly terms with both ex wives) and four children and now, I live in the sun, have an interesting and rewarding life and have no worries.

If you want to find a partner, you need to discover and show your emotions, not present a good intellectual argument. That’s all I have to say and won’t add anything else!

they've got an area called ' watch this space ' at the south bank where variousinteresting free events take place !..its also the home of the national theatre ..and the national film theatre

by the way how much does it cost to go and see a show in the town centre in findland ? and to watch a movie ?,,,i could'nt believe that i paid £13 english pounds to watch a movie in the west end recently !

but one thing that i have never done for years is paid to watch a musical stage show .. i wanted to see ' miss saigon ' when it was in london ..but missed it

and now my college filmmaking partner friend manage to get two cheap tickets to see michael jackson in july ..but because i was'nt interested enough ..gave the ticket to somebody else

i wanted to see weather he can still dance

another thing that i've never done is paid to go to a big rock and roll gig something like ' THE ROLLING STONES ' or ' U2' or something like that

have you ever been to a rock n roll gig ?

Hehe, I wouldn't have thought Michael Jackson did anything anymore! Oh well, guess I'm not following the trends well enough. Though actually I remember that talking movies with my ex I was the one who remembered exactly who was in what movie, LOL.

symbolistartist: . Maybe the non-verbal arts are passing on new information that seems refreshing, dunno. Really, this is a subject that would require plenty more space. But in short I really enjoy that which is very mind/body connected and surreal. For instance enjoyed Victoria Chaplin in the Invisible Circus and the surrealist painters. Also like highly decorative, such as Gustav Klimt. Or mysterious such as de Chirico.

hi symbolistartist ! i wish i knew who some of these people were ?..and what influences they had upon the world ?..because i find it all so interesting

is it easy to get a good education in Findland for ordinary people ? or is it for the elite ?

conversing

do they encourage new talent with completely new ideas ? or is it like a regime where you MUST present yourself and ideas in a certain way where everybody ends up being moulded the same way in order to get the arts education world in Findland to approve of you and allow you to carry on studying ?

i love dance as an art form ( i don't mean ballet ..but boy do those ballet dancers have to go through a lot to get through their training ) !

doh

can you imagine all that standing on your toes bussiness !

anyway one thing i don't see enough of is art and sculpture exhibitions...and dance

boogie

i love theatre and musicals ...and don't get to see enough black theatre productions either !...by the way are there many creative black people in Findland and Sweeden ? have you met any over there ?

Hey, just a short thing here because I need to sleep! The names mentioned are famous artists, easy to find out about them. I tend to like stuff from the symbolist area all the way to surrealism. Victoria Chaplin is Charlie's daughter, she does wonderful creative and surrelist performances that bring something old fashioned to mind... I like when old and new are being teamed. As for Zhang Yimou, he's China's big name in directing movies though the last ones were boring in my opinion. I also liked Chan Kaige's Godbye My Concubine, though really all that was long ago and taste and preferences change. Bergman is still mysterious to me but still... it's not quite as mesmerizing at this age! See you later!

In response to: Cool, self-promoting is apparently not prohibited on this site! I'm very fond of the UK and would love to meet a man over there!

I'm a Finnish artistic lady age 42 who is tirelessly trying to find the right one but never got further than engagement. I am NOT all that far away... I'd come over to visit in a hearbeat if I felt a connection - unless you came here first of course... I tried relocating to the US once and now going somewhere within the EU to meet a man seems like a child's game! I'm looking for men with the sense of adventure and curiousity about something a little different! I guess I would personally go a long way for love... I'm willing to take risks even if it hurts when things don't work out. Anyone like that out there? Someone who is able to think outside of the box yet has warmth and compassion... Someone who believes that it's possible to get to know one another online and then meet up to see how the chemistry works. And who is intuitive and believes in the feeling of "things that are simply meant to be" and is not ruled by fear? With spiritual maturity also if I may ask for it..?

I guess I'm really searching for a needle in a haystack but I refuse to let go of the feeling that Mr Right is out there somewhere and willing to live with me wherever is safe and beautiful!

7 minutes ago : Artist desperately seeking EU men with intellect and heart!

PART 1

i really enjoyed going that website and getting much more of a feel about ' what's really going on '

its nice to see the framing of the collages in the billnas cafe

1. what made you decide to exhibit your collages there ?

2. what made you choose that type of framing and colour for your collages to exhibit in the cafe ?
it makes them look more victorian

3.have you had any feedback yet from the customers of the cafe about what they think about the collages ?

there are many collages that i like but ...the EMANCIPATION OF EVE ( 2009 ) is the first one i would love you to talk about ? if your interested in doing so

4. what went through your mind when you first thought about creating that collage ? and what do some of those symbols mean to you ?

5. misty morning in my opinion is a really nice photo ! alongside quite a few other nice ' scenic photo's that you took managing to capture some nice moments like ' my muse beatrice ' the collage on the table for that photo was particularly interesting ! with really nice colour

what's the name of that collage ? and what did that represent ? where do you get those images from to put together like that ?

there's lots more to talk about but i have to go and join this special video library in the city of london now

so that i can start watching all these women's cinema films ( i hope especially french new wave ) to go with my course studies

by the way that photo of the duck alone in the river seems of with me

what was wrong with that camera then ?

and you asked me about " what train " was'nt that a grey train with the nubers 777 in one of the photo's ?

your spiritual awakenings also sounds interesting to do with your 1991' upsurge '..but we'll talk about that and lots of other things later on

Good luck on your search for a british man. It has been my experience that british women want a man from some place else. The men here are more interested in getting drunk and football then thier women. Thats why other men from other places find it easy to get a good british woman.
