Yet again I'm looking at booking my summer holiday, only to be a little sad that I might once again be travelling alone.

I wonder how many others on this site are disillusioned with taking holidays alone, and would like some company.

Before all the guys start thinking 'easy sex!', that is not what this is about. I would like to meet people who love to travel, can afford to travel and would like someone to travel with, several times a year.

Like many of you, I live in hope that I might meet someone special with whom I can spend my holidays, but until that time, it would be great to have a travel companion.

I'm presently considering 2- 3 weeks in Malaysia in July/August, but don't really feel that is a place I would feel comfortable travelling to alone.

Hi there

I was looking at travelling abroad alone last year and was looking at a firm called Friendship Travel who cater for singles, you may want to take a look as they go all over the world - hope this helps smile

Thanks. I do get their brochure, but have no intention of paying their prices, even if I could afford to.

I have in the past tried Solo's and Solitair, but very often the others in the party are pensioners, which you don't know until you arrive. There is nothing wrong with that, only I would much prefer to be with people I have something in common with. Also, singles groups only have holidays to certain places, at certain times, so trying to fit in a holiday with the dates I can travel, can be awkward and you end up going somewhere you didn't really want to go to.

wave Hi Passion8 .. check your mailbox.. I have sent you some info.
I totally agree about the prices they charge for single travellers.. I cant believe that at certain times of the year they couldnt put out some sensible prices as I am sure that the price inhibits lots of people..
I have travelled quite a lot on my own and met some lovely friendly people but I find that the evenings are always the worst.. I just hate having dinner alone. I once had to listen to a woman at the next table expounding on to her husband and friends on how she couldnt travel alone or eat on her own.. she either thought I was foreign or deaf!

Unfortunately, I'm restricted to travelling during the school holidays, due to my job, so have no choice on price really. I do however tend to shop around on the internet to get the best price, with the fewest supplements.

I often find that booking flights and hotels seperately helps as foreign hotels can be pretty cheap if you go direct.

Look up " www.travbuddy.com "

this is a site for solo travellers looking for travelling partners,

I often travel solo, but have not found a travel partner yet, and will be going on a touring holiday in the next week or two, for a few months, (out of the school holidays, well for most of the time!!!)

Good luck with the holidaycool dancing

Thanks. I thought that was a site for travel parntners, but I registered a month or so ago and have only been contacted by people wanting sex partners.
