it's such a waste of a life

One of my pet hates besides ironing, is sweeping up outside, this time of year gets knee deep practically in leaves from the trees at bottom of garden

Reminds me of the old lady who used to live next door - she had two huge sycamore trees right on the fence line. One blew down in the 1987 hurricane and we had to ask the Council to remove the other a couple of years ago. Every autumn I had to go out and pick up at least 12 bags of leaves. Nightmare job because I had to check underneath them first for doggy doo doo ( ).

But now, only apple and pear trees mainly and leaves are tiny so can leave to blow away or rot.

I've got a brick drive and twice a year I have to go out with the hoe and scrape moss and weeds from between each brick - hate it and it takes ages. Try not to use the chemicals.

Don't mind most things but DO NOT like cleaning windows. Had a window cleaner until I moved here but can't really justify having one now so just have to get on with it.

try the high pressure washer much easier. Leave it on one spot too long and yer bricks feck off and yer left with the moss etc.

So get a registered tree surgeon or business with a decent reputation in, to Pollard them - not anyone who who says they are treefellers who either turn out to be three Irish travellers or cowboys with a Colt 45 and stetson on the side of a pick up.

I had the 12 in my back garden cut down to about 3.5 metres about 4 years ago and they don't shed anywhere near as many leaves since.

If only it was that simple haunebu2 - but the trees aren't mine, and council wont cut them down unless they're a danger - even then it has to go thro a lot of red tape

What you need Goldenlady is an oven that cleans itself - I cover the base of my ovens with foil to keep it clean, and you can also buy solution for cleaning oven shelves "Oven Pride" its called - which will save you the hard work there. :)
