Madison1109: One of my pet hates besides ironing, is sweeping up outside, this time of year gets knee deep practically in leaves from the trees at bottom of garden
Reminds me of the old lady who used to live next door - she had two huge sycamore trees right on the fence line. One blew down in the 1987 hurricane and we had to ask the Council to remove the other a couple of years ago. Every autumn I had to go out and pick up at least 12 bags of leaves. Nightmare job because I had to check underneath them first for doggy doo doo (

).
But now, only apple and pear trees mainly and leaves are tiny so can leave to blow away or rot.
I've got a brick drive and twice a year I have to go out with the hoe and scrape moss and weeds from between each brick - hate it and it takes ages. Try not to use the chemicals.
