Well, this is the 3rd wildlife forum I have put on here. Not sure if ANYONE is going to post on this one, as most interested folks seem to have disappeared! moping

I'm still here though! cheering cheering cheering (not very often these days, but will still be around now and again).

Just to let you know, I am planning at some stage, to change my profile name from "Juneau" to "Calamity Jan". I will still keep my Juneau profile on here though as I have posted an awful lot of stuff on here that I don't want to lose.

I had to have my wee car scrapped in July 2011, so it is extremely rare now that I get out into the countryside, but I still have a very keen interest in wildlife. I did also have a "CS Sky at Night" forum as well, for all us budding star-gazers out there, so this time I thought may be I could combine everything together in one forum...

- Wildlife teddy elephant frog stuck daisy crazy sheep groundhog bunny reindeer

- Star-gazing stuck stuck stuck stuck transport tinfoil hat nerd

AND .....

- Anything sciencey or generally nerdy nerd typing writing

PS. I have hardly been on here this year, so have completely forgotten how to post videos and pictures! So...for now, it will just have to be my witty whiting! grin ... no fish emoticons...sorry!

BBC "Autumnwatch" starts on Tuesday 30th October at 8pm on BBC2. Don't forget "Autumnwatch Unsprung" - it usually follows the Friday night one, and is live applause cheering banana dancing

Hi J,
They do love the nuts though in the fat,
I put out a bowl of it each week in the
winter and they soon demolish that.
Yes they depend on us in the winter and hope
that folks will take care of them .

Just a few of the birds I met in Benalmádena in Spain after a cable car ride.

Probably!!!! thumbs up thumbs up

I did recommend the seed mix that I buy on "Jan's Wildlife Forum - Part Deux", but will do it again on this one, if you keep watching. It is very reasonably priced, they will deliver it right into your shed (so no having to man-handle a 20kg bag!), and it has NEVER sprouted anything!! I know that is odd, but it's true! I have a scraggy looking lawn, but at least it isn't a wheat field!! laugh

PS... if you were wondering (like I was) about mixing a bit of butter in your bird pudding... I rang the RSPB a few weeks ago and asked, and they told me that it has a certain consistency, that if it gets onto bird feathers, it ruins the waterproof coating on the feathers!! Wow! I had no idea! They assured me that lard and suet is fine though. Weird eh?

Wow! They have no manners!! laugh ... And, thank you for the offer! Apparently, I can keep the vouchers as long as I like and use them, whenever.

Oh yeah...I think someone told me that ages ago. I need to open a new photobucket account. Thanks for that. It makes it much more interesting if you can post videos and photos on a wildlife forum! laugh

My computer isn't very well set up...I use this site via Google because it doesn't cause problems with things opening, but Google won't download videos, so then I have to re-log on, to Microsoft Explorer!! roll eyes Goodness only knows what problems I may encounter using photobucket on here! laugh
