Ghost hunting is slightly more tedious. Lots of waiting around in the dark watching nothing happen.

If you're going to sell, I suggest doing it quickly as the market is on it's way back up slowly.

one big mistake my mother made was buying a house soon after the first was sold - and of course it is want what she wanted - she told me she should have rented for a while so she could be in control of the negotiations rather than on the urgent need end of it.

Moving on can sometimes be good. When I got divorced I didn't like staying in 'our house'. But I didn't want to leave the area I lived in because I had made so many friends there, kids were happy at school ..... but due to financial constraints - I had to.

I was happy to leave the house - but having to leave the area I loved and leave behind my friends who were my support was worse than my divorce!

Good luck to new beginnings? bouquet

Yes heidi I have done that, different continents thing. I think the difference with me now is having my feet firmly planted here as I have brought up 2 kids just about on my own since my marriage broke up many years ago. So I was determined to give them some stability.

In my single days I moved from UK, to different places in Europe and was about to visit USA when a phone call out of the blue brought me to Australia - for a 12 mth visit, met my ex husband and here I am!

Got itchy feet again, have given my 2 young adults notice that 2 yrs tops and I am outta here! super

Hi Redex wave Not really sure, probably first off visit family n friends in UK/Europe.

Next on list not really sure? Not as 'brave' as I used to be? Probably like my luxuries a bit too much like my hairdryer! confused

Don't have any great desire to explore Asia, have New Zealand and Tasmania on my bucket list.

Been to USA briefly about 30 yrs ago, west coast only and would go back to see more at the drop of a hat but I think that would have to be a 3-6 mth thing?

Then there is Canada? cheering Awesome.

Think I just need to win Lotto sigh

Oh I thought you meant moving as moving home?
Holidays are adventures. I like you do not like to go so far on my own these days. After I have moved my home I will think of another adventure, I would like to explore Ierland, never been there.
Have good Sunday this forum is so hush hush at the moment.hug

Hi newlife,

Did the same thing, lost my husband when my son was 4, now he's just finishing university, he learned 4 languages while moving. Itchy feet yes, but only inside Europe.
After Scotland it's got to be somewhere warm....I hope will have my feet up and enjoy the warm weather in Spain. Canada and Scotland have really put me off anything colder. Next couple of months the suitcases are getting packed again.
peace yay

How much does it cost to buy and sell starbucks because the last time I looked it was a coffee house not a residence. PS Wooden spoons are 3 for a £1 in poundland if your'e short of a bob or two rolling on the floor laughing

Evening Redex. I would like to move home too! But I need to offload 2 boomerang kids (they keep coming back!) laugh

Finances dictate where or how far I can go, and as Aus is so far from Europe, $2,000 or thereabouts just to get there ..... my next trip I hope will be a few weeks to couple months at least?

Used to work in Spain before I came to Oz and have friends there I can stay with which makes things more affordable.

thumbs up

Just keep dreaming in the meantime. happy place

Hope you have a good week. wine

I may a buy a modest villa on the quaint little island of lesbos as there may be an opportunity to open a starbuck franchise there rolling on the floor laughing Damn laugh
