It would all depend on which sort of dating site it was on.
Some sites only have searach and private contact fascilities. On sites like those, I would say, no, it wouldn't be right to continue being a member. But sites like CS, where you can make friends, and come together for chats on the forums boards, I would say, yes, its ok, so long as its only to keep in touch with your friends and you alter your profile to say you have found a partner, and no longer looking

Hmm good question this as i met someone from another site! we chatted oniline for ages then we chatted on phone then he said get ready to delete ur profile! i was like wow! we met, next day he deleted his pic and put on his profile NO LONGER LOOKING!! i thought ok well what do i do,
So i deleted my pic and put on my profile i met someone!
he has not been on the site for over a week and yep i keep checking!! lol just in case! but i know the feeling of if i see him on there is he looking for something better! Its the chance you take!

Sometimes when they say that though, what they really mean is they've secretly created another profile/account and are still looking. I've known of guys having 6 accounts on certain sites. I've not saying your bloke's doing it but just be aware that this can happen, damn, hard job us women have keeping 10 steps ahead of men
