Although my profile says I live in Malta - I was surprised to see a couple messages from females in South Africa expressing a wish to get to know me better, when they visit Uk - I maybe it's me, but I am very suspicious that these people want to come on over.....
For a start, they obviously don't read the profile correctly - What does everyone think?

Hiya Mixit, have a read of the scam warning - you can find it at the bottom of the reply page.

Theres things to look out for such as if they give you their email address in their first message and that they dont seem to have read your profile - I report these to the mods straight off as they are trying to stop people such as these from being on CS. wave

Hi There handshake

Like Trish said, have a read up on scammers. It's a common trait they offer direct contact info in their first message. They usually copy and paste the same message to everyone, in the hopes one person will at least take the bait mumbling

Good luck wine

Hello mixitwell,

There are, unfortunately, so many scammers these days that we never really know who we are chatting to...thank goodness I know that you're one of the good guys.

I think the idea of reporting them is excellent, because for every person they don't manage to scam...there is possibly another innocent person falling victim to them.

hi m/w having investigated these women from South Africa.

I found one thing in common with them all. They can visit the UK on a visitors passportr. But anything more serious.
they will be knocking on your door for that vital VISA. . Probable at your expense.

The right to abode in this country entails Immigration requiring YOU to offer evidence of your accomodation and your finacial status.

All i can offer in advice is to stay within the juristiction of the EU countries. which include 27 countries The whole dating scene is inudated with ppl looking for that all important piece of PAPER
the VISA

dont worry S/B . they look for the more vunerable.

The niave like me. The old . the senile like me. They are the proverbial . FEMME FATALES. . conjuring up ways of decieving you..
Often they say they live in a more affluent part of the world.

just to confuse you. So to avoid these unscrupulous women.
You should never engage the internet unless wearing full body armour.
MI5 have a full dossier on these women including the CIA.

All we have is either Mc AFFEE. or NORTON. So we fall victims 24/7

hello seabiscuit.
ive asked the infamous ITER to introduce me to
you
well im a voluptuous russian girl. . i live in the siberian outback,
and i hope your nothing like INTERFLITE.
he promised me everything. a house money to spend. and a life of luxury. promises promises promises.
But i think with you. i would be happy living there in plymouth near the sea. Im a simple girl. and would look after you as a woman. i would give you your tea in bed . and we coud shower together. And my sexual appetite is voracious.
In fact i would be the bread winner as you say in England. all i ask for is the airfare to join you there in lovely england.
At the moment im a finacial consultant. And over there in england i would make YOUR money go a long way.
please write back to me darling. as i yearn for our togetherness.

I just pray that you arnt like that horrible man INTERFLITE.

But all i need is £2000 for us to be together

your darling ANASTASIA somewhere in the siberian outback

Hiya people.

We ran a couple of threads on Date scamming a few months back on here which at one point, seemed to get a little out of hand. We posted up all the suspicious looking threads from women from Russia, China, and other faraway places and made comparisons. They all ran along the same lines. IE:

I am loving your profile
I want so much to meet you
I wany big family with you.
You look like loyal and loving man

Blah Blah Blah Blah.

Some of these women are in their twenties. Realistically, why would there be such an interest from these women who mainly seem to target older men?
Because they think we are sad and lonely and are an easy touch bearing the financial fruits of a lifetime working....house, car, all mod cons, money to play with.
They want a piece of it.....and that all important visa to the UK.

The biggest giveaway in any of these scams is when they at some point ask for the air fare to get here for that 'romantic visit' which they can't afford because their brother just died and she had to pay for the funeral, or she had to pay for a life saving operation for her very sick mum, (pulling on the heart strings), or there is no future for beautiful women in such a bad economic climate as the country she hails from.

If it sounds too good to be true...then it usually is.
