The bedrock of democracy is people rule of course. Therefore if the people decide that some drugs should be illegal because of the drain on society then yes. Alternatively the opposite is true also.

Hope this helps

The Short answer is yes....

All drugs should be legal under any form of government: democracy, dictatorship, theocracy, republic, communism, anarchism, feudalism...

Every adult person should have the right to put whatever substances they want into their own bodies.

Every adult person should have the right to shorten their own lives. And to damage their own health.

Anyone selling drugs should label them very clearly with any harmful effects caused by these drugs.

I have no desire to tell anyone how they should live their own lives as long as they aren't harming any other people.

i do actually agree with you here; however, just putting forward a counter argument many people taking drugs require hospitalisatiion and specialist treatment which, for those people not taking drugs and having to pay taxes for the running off hospitals may seem errr to put it lightly unfair.

in a democracy it is what the majority decides and i know many more people taking drugs than not therefore i would see them being legalised it did happen in a vote for instance

shall i shut up now? lol

Every adult person should also have the right to opt out of any state run healthcare system with a corresponding reduction in their tax payments.

Why should anyone who choses to live a healthy lifestyle be forced to subsidise those who live an unhealthy or self-destructive lifestyle?

I see what you mean but it is missing the point - For one thing, it is our NI contributions that fund the NHS - SO - If anyone decides to use drugs as of RIGHT - They should be told they have an equal responsibility.

Remember this - There are many drug users and pushers gainfully employed during the day. Some even work in the NHS and other places where access to drugs is shall we say "easy" - Therefore -

IMO 1. If anyone has to receive NHS treatment for illegal drugs related depencency - THEY should be billed for it specifically and pay for it ON TOP of their NI contributions and we should not be forced to support them by increasing our NI Conts which are about 9% of our income.

2. If what I say were implemented it would be a deterrent and that is what is missing from the morally defunct society and legal systems we have today. It has been maintained by successive governments, whose now obvious inactivity and lack of intent to rectify it is directly due to many politicians having vested interests in maintaining the status quo.

3. Maintaining the status quo by misplaced woolly headed political correctness is their stock in trade and nothing ever gets altered whichever of the major parties gets electedapart from lately when Baby P was *murdered* by Harringey social services irresposibility several years after they *murdered* Victoria Climbi'e' and even now -
That female scumbag at the top is still on full pay.
