If I could play a real life character I reckon I would play a guy called Carl Brasher.. He was the firts Black Navy diver in the USA.. Went through years of torment and abuse but showed that you just put your head down and go for it, if you want it badly enough you'll get it!

He was played by Cuba Gooding Jnr superbly in 'Men of honour'
