The kids at school think its cool and look up to been a gangsta, and they are in year 6, makes my blood boil that they aspire to become one.

They don't seem to have a clue nowadays.. So different to when I was a kid.. I wanted to be a Footballer or in the Navy or something, certainly didn't want to carry a gun, wear over sized clothes and call people blud..

I hear the kids talking and its a totally diferent language, i havn't a clue what they are on about

If my sons or my daughter for that matter wanted to be a 'gangster' of any form??????????????

I would talk him/her out of it, as it is a deadly game.

Gangsters are nothing but cowards with weapons to beef up their cowardice

If they decided to become a gangster, there's no point in my trying to talk them out of it.

What sort of gangster would give up their lifestyle just because their father told them to?

They would already know that I strongly disapprove of them hurting / robbing from other people.


I would tell them to be clever gangsters:

Don't get caught too often and don't get killed.

Make loads of money.

Don't worry too much if you spend time in prison - hey if you make £1 million from 1 year as a gangster and then get locked up for 4 years that still works out at £200 000 per year - which is better pay than most jobs.
