Hi.
Well i think that eye contact is very important part of communication.
It tells you that, the person is interested in you. I have growen tied of night clubs now , but still like to go to pubs quite often. Yes i meet girls there, and yes it is the eyes i look at first. Not the things six inches lower. No i feel commuication starts with the eyes and the conversation.

i would say... first time i stay away... but eye-contact is very important... you can see a lot in the eyes of the other one...

Of course the initial contact is the eyes they are the gateway to the soul but you must contiue this with something else which is either a nice gesture or say something nice humour is good and just go with the flow don't try too hard and be yourself if you use someone elses lines your being false relationships or friendships are based on truth n honesty they are the building blocks for a sound and lasting relationship or friendship try smiling or looking or combine the two i have been told i smile with my eyes but i don't know this just try it go out and practace say good morning or how are you today engage in conversation with everyone, i do it's fun

I like to be direct.
My mother (r.i.p) always said she didn't trust someone who could't look you in the eye.
I'm generalising, i know. But i also believe that eye-contact in conversation is good mannered.
