Freedom and bravado is all very well in some cases

However - - This is directed at Gung ho males so if the cap fits wear it !!

When or IF your wife is taken away very suddenly without any warning by a stroke after 41 years of marriage or the demise of any loved partner of any time, never having been apart except for work purposes REALITY has to take over. -

It smacks one in the gob with such a force that unless you have been there you cannot and will never imagine it I hope.

After the intial shock and essential business matters are dealt with,
24/7 lonliness and isolation take over.

After a while some join CS and other forums hoping to find some comfort until we experience the shock that ageism not only applies - It rules, if WE let it.
