The more anglicised Americans I have come across all say its the comparative peace and pace of life here when they get out of London and SEE outside the box that appeals to them !!

We have a few that left London, travelled all around the UK by car and stayed at hotels or B& B's on advice. They saw sense, came this way, settled in East Kent as its still less expensive than anywhere around London within a 30 mile radius and even further and were happy to join inour ways so they are accpted and even more happy.

Others are not like I describe so about them I will make no comment

We are about 75-80 miles East from the centre of London and average just under 2 hours from Victora on the Victoria - Ramsgate stopping trains.

What I said about property applies IF people consult the local estate agents
(some are not as good as others) and IF they are willing to accept advice from people who live here if they deign to speak to us.

Some who come *just looking* unfortunately do not even give us the time of day or any pleasantry so they can be discounted.
