It went on long before the Europeans ever got to the West coast of Africa and even takeing slaves into Europe predates by a long way the Trans-atlantic slave trade.

It was carried out internelly by Black people selling their own people as slaves to Muslims and there were Chattell slaves too among their own kind.
To exclusively blame the whites is fatually incorrect.

This is aways omitted by anyone who believes the political dogma of either blaming the Portuguese and other Europeans including the English to score points but they should read the facts before shooting their mouth off.

I have no conscience regarding the slave trade if thats what you were referring to, I was not born then, I understand what took place those many years ago, I don't condone the actions of the many who bought and sold slaves, of course it was wrong. But why would I have a conscience about something that I had no control over, that took place such a long time ago, history is fascinating, we can learn much from our past mistakes, but its a step backwards to constantly harp on about past misdemeanours, better to learn not to make those errors again. IMO

My being pleased for Obama was many fold, because we live in a multiracial society and he will help to bring people together from all types of ethnic backgrounds, I think his political views are sensible and will help rebuild America and in so doing help the rest of the world become more stable, and lastly but not least, because he has a Kenyan background and as I was born in Nairobi Kenya, I am proud that someone from that background has become President of the USA, it shows that anyone can do anything given the right determination, it brings hope to a much troubled but lovely wonderful people.

Mike I agree with your comments, it was a blot on history, and now maybe we can show that we see and find all people equal, I don’t agree with this P.C. world we live in but I also don’t agree with classing some people as second class I think you are the same.

Yes I thinik so on these issues -

I have always objected to arrogant generalised blanket objections from fascist led sub-cultures, various media indocrination and any individual who shows pride in their arrogant ignorance especially about slavery and black persecution espoecvially being a Jazz musician since I was a boy in my teens.

I have also been known to threaten arrogant individuals with court action for slander by including myself as part Jewish and therefore mixed race, (even though my birth Cert and passport says I am White & British) - That stops loud mouth's of both sexes right in their tracks.

While I basically agree with your observations re school etc and that if people who come here they should abide by our rules it is OK regardless of colour, race, or creed,
I think you possibly misunderstood some of the matter I raised so I will elaborate -



The sub-culture arrogance we see today here in the UK from Fascists and ill educated so called working classes relates directly to their ignorance of slavery, oppression and the final solution (holocaust) therefore IMO the full history of it should be taught as a compulsory part of the general studies curriculum in all state and public schools in the whole of the UK. I learned about it before I left a state secondary school in 1953 and we never covered GCE's but my general education in all subjects taught then was far higher than anything I have seen in todays state schools at that age and it got me to whwre I needed to go - The RAF and at the skilled trade that I wanted to train as. (Aero Engine Fitter)

The people I have worked with all my life, in the service, the bands and the engineering capacities all payed taxes like we do, obeyed our rules and the latest before I retired were the same as us in condemnation of over zealous crap by do gooders, perhaps because they had skills and had a higher mentality that various loud mouth hotheads in theor own cultures spout who they equally condemned.

Therefore being mainly black and/or normal muslims who the objections are mostly targeted at by bigotted ignorant puss heads and religious zealots several who I include as friends have my respect on equal terms and it is reciprocal. END OF
