guiriman: very interesting, Mike. you know that in Italy they envy the first past the post system used in the UK. it is stated that the present 'PR' system gives to much power to minority parties...of which there are many. I've also read that Britain has just finished the longest continuous period of economic expansion - some 16 years - since sometime in the 19th century. Is that not true? Please note, I have no political axe to grind here...just curious.

If you came here and spoke to ordinary people on the street other than in Fucking London they will tell you that the only people to have benefitted by the alleged expansion are the top cats in the City and Bankers and commercial and retail sales parasites so they could get fat bonuses.
Read the papers and see what the bastards who sabotaged their companies have been allowed to get and go sct free while the taxpayer bails the banks out. They started it in America but our lot are so far up the Yanks arses thanks to corruption and allged alliances that we the ones who had no such dealings have got sucked in to their crap.
Ordinary folk have been actively encouraged to borrow far more than they can pay back by all the financial institutions here as theybwere in Yank Land and it is the fat cats who who deliberately caused people NOW to lose their houses and jobs.

That paved the ways for crime, breaking the family ideal, more greed and corruption at top level. Then he pulled the strings when his Scots shit house, puppet, Darling removed the lowest rate 10% tax band and made us ALL pay 22% which has effectively made life even harder for the people including me on state pensions who can least afford to lose what little money we are allowed to keep under the most rediculous income tax laws and back door tax methods of as fgar as I can tell, any country in Europe.

They are Scum who have lost all credibility in the old meanings of social justice and equality of financial progress for all - The detriment of the education system and NHSare other institutions that have NOT benefitted by giovernment interference an budget cuts although they say they increased spending - ON more management tiers and targets etc - All bullshit because it has not gone where it was needed - My great niece traiined as a doctor - got through her finals, did a year and has now gone into teaching instead because she like others inclluding senior nurses now are not allowed to do the job of patient care properly.
