guiriman: i see, thanks for your answer. so it's the way she implemented her policies at a time when british industry was being dictated to by unelected parasites that annoys you most about her. i thought she rid Great Britain of the vice like grip of unelected unions and updated/replaced outdated industries...
so yours is a no vote. thanks for the insight.
I see you are teacher not used to being challenged by real trades poeople. Get your facts right before you shoot your mouth off at me and do some REAL research - I was working on development projects before you were a spunk bubble in your fathers ball bag.
For your information - The Tories were known for *planting* people at junior/middle management level to deliberately stir up trouble in places where there was none to further their cause against the shop floor. -
All the skilled trades people who suffered under Thatchers regime were NOT militant trades unionists and she knew that - She killed us off as well and that is what ruined our manufacturing base. -
For instance - I worked for Hilger & Watts which was a scientific intsrument manufacturing company mentioned in the same sentence as Leicht, Carl Zeiss and Libermann & Gortz from 1969-75 in charge of the Crystallography & special products workshops. - The firm was a family firm which had several factories in the UK and had never ever had any strikes in over 120 years at any site. They recognised trades unions with whom they had good relationships.
Rank Organistion (The American company) owned Hilger by then and planted deliberately, an ex BLMC personnel manager there and within 4 months he had upset everyone including top management there and we ALL went out on a 1 day token strike in 1975 - I later volunteered for reduncancy and with my payment I set up in self employment as a sole trader working from my workshop at home and in a rented premises for larger projects.
That was before Thatcher, when Heath was in so we knew that it was their intention to cause havoc in ALL skilled trades as early as that. She continued to do what was Tory party intention in the first instance and it is on record that neither Heath nor she never listened to the moderates even in their own party. - Read some of the Aviation Industry historical reports and they never had trouble either until the agitators were *planted*
I have never been nor will I ever be told by any bloody parasite teacher or sales prat what to do. - FYI - I also have a training and instructors certificate in my trade which, when Heath quashed the employers £10 per week training grants over night, all the trainees in the training school where we did part time lecturing were got rid of. There were also no more apprentices taken on after thay finished their time - Ity happened in all trades. That meant I and three other instructors lost nearly 20% of our wages over that so don't tell me it was the trades unions who fucked our industries.
Now we have skilled tradespeople shortages due to the lack of apprentices.
Wind your fucking neck in - The answer is NO
