Country music just makes me sad anynmore..When I was growing up, of course my parents listened to it.. and of course I rebelled against it,, But there came a time, in the early nineties, when I thought ok.. well Billy Ray, you are kind of cool, and Garth had a heart of gold and wasn't long before, Tim Macgraw made me yeehaw.. well you know.. But these days.. doesn't it seem, that country has gone back to the old whinin cryin days ..suicide and wine.. or is it only me??? sigh Is country music turning you off as it is me lately?doh

think about it ,,, will you remember the words to sing along to with the rap garbage when you get older.. i too like the older country music and not a lot of the new stuff but it at least has words and a recognizable melody that i can relate to..

Rap and country.. apples and oranges..Don't listen to the stuff myself.. more classic rock, current music and older pop.. cool

That rap stuff sounds so angry, can mention doing violence, guns, .... what they call women or what to do to them and the cops etc .... very mad

Sometimes country can be depressing, but there are still some great tunes out there.... I'm kind of pickie when it comes to Country music .... sure do like the one about taking a bat to some cheating boyfriend's car grin

I'm into classical, classic rock, Celtic, some pop or adult, blues, 60's, 70's, and 80's ... even some of the new age stuff (great to paint to.)
