Happy Canada Day....

What a great country we live..I'm thankful every minute

Just waiting for the fireworks to start, should be any minute now. Have the ladder up, going on to the roof, best view and less mossies.

Hope everyone had/is having a fantastic day! Did a bit of fishing, bit of bbq, a bit of this and a bit of that...nice to have a day off in the middle of the week!
Enjoy the fireworks for us too Kid!....they set them off here, but it's too light out to really see them...

Well, no fireworks, not sure why, must be the fire bans. I feel like an idiot for sitting on my roof with a beer waiting...and waiting, then nothing.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll feel like an idiot for something else sooner or later.

No fireworks due to fire bans, none of the small towns around me had them either, but Edmonton and Ft.Asskatchewan did.

So what do you all do on Canada Day? We have Australia day here obviously we all BBQ listen to aussie rock were thongs deck our cars homes etc in Aussie flags get plastered at various drinking holes in the evening ,hang out at the beach ussually with an esky full of food & drinks
The Aborigional people dont celabrate It was after all the day we stole thier homeland

so Im imagining canada day ....moose hunt ? bobsled?
mount a mountie ?

i worked on me shack on cadada day . caddada club whiskey says cadda to other country ppl . but in reality its noy good tasting booze
