I can't name one favourite old song. Not a one...just way, way too many of them. In-gadda-da-vida by Iron Butterfly was good. Another good song from that album was Flowers And Beads.

You did say, great OLD songs. When it comes to the oldies, I tend to lean more towards Motown, and the greats like:
Marvin Gay
Aretha Franklin (my sweetie)
Smokey Robinson and the Miracles
The Spinners
The Temptations
The Four Tops
The Delfonics
Jimmy Ruffin (I even made a video on youtube featuring "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted", by Jimmy Ruffin).
Bill Withers
The O-Jays
and a shitload more.. an era gone, but so not forgotten

No, I did not know about the CD releases...awesome. Hard to find their music. My favs? Crazy talk and Baby Blue...but I like most all. wave

Another old time fav...The Poppy Family!!! Still have an 8 track or two of theirs. At one time, way back when, my cousin was engaged to the drummer of the Poppy Family so of course I was a huge fan...can't think of one song that Susan Jacks sang that I didn't know by heart and did not like! Mid - 70's I was given a "loudmouth" 8-track player for Christmas. It had a mike that enabled one to sing along with the song - 70's version of karioki! Flashback to 12!!!
