Yes Tampa1, this site is to give our Canada members a place of their own, where there is more chance to meet singles closer to home. Members should have a connection to Canada (i.e.lives in Canada, travels to Canada, or is specifically looking for a match in Canada). This forum is for discussion of issues and interests for those with that connection.

TallB - I think it's a super feature, thanks to you and whoever else took the time to create it. I've been on other Dating Sites that had such a feature and it's a really cool way to get to know others, and learn their views on things. Again - thanks!

Hi! Some familiar faces here. I don't really see the point as we Canucks are not even the majority in our own site already. laugh

Well, had a wee birdy not mentioned this I would never have know, can't say for certain what I think of it,but am sure many will enjoy it plenty.

Had it not been tho for your internation site I would never had been graced by meeting the folks I have,or the man of my dreams,so thanks for CS in general, and congradulations on your newcanada site.

May you all find peace and enjoy your journey.wine

Maya if you are interested in chatting with someone I would suggest making up a "hotmail" account specifically for that purpose and set up your MSN messenger. If you don't like someone you can just block them and that also gets around having to give out private information.

Personally I've found from other site that most people who instant message (from the very beginning) are generally just looking for "cyber sex" and that its rare to find someone who is actually truly looking to get to know you further. I find that the people who are at least willing to write and correspond a few times first are more seriously looking for a relationship.

canada THANK YOU CS. This is awesome. Even though I met some good friends on the other CS site, this is nice to be able to meet other people closer to home. cheering

Good job CS staff :)

That way I'll see something else than: "this person is living XXXXXXXXX miles from you" rolling on the floor laughing

I like the idea, but do not like the idea of exclusivity and limiting others from our world team from entering or posting....

I agree ... but I guess that's why they still have the International forums where people can participate. I personally think that a few will use these individual forums but that most will migrate back to the International forums within time. I personally enjoy the interaction between the various countries - it gives me a different perspective on my world.

As well I have the option of personal email to correspond to those that I want to know on a different level.

Very well done TallB. I have to admit it will take some getting used to. I sort of prefered the way it was before but love the new colors and all though.

Good Job!

I'm sorry to be the "odd" man out...but i don't particularly care for a "Canada" only forum...however i concede that it may be a great idea for those who are only looking for someone "close to home"

I myself feel priviledged to have been part of the International/US forums which not only gave me the opportunity to meet people i would not have otherwise met...but also share their values and opinions as seen from a "different" country....(I already know what the Canadians think...I want to hear what the rest of the world thinks!!)

It had a "segregated" feel to it...but again I will say for those that are only interested in "home grown" then yes this can be a great thing for them...

I have made too many wonderful new friends, especially in the States, for me to become once again exclusively Canadian...

handshake wine
