hi 2i..

clamming up...probably a better choice than anger... grin

haven't used a crock pot in years. i've reduced my kitchen to the bare necessities and for me that means no crock pot. but i cook a lot of soups, stews, sauces..that take a few hours on the stove top. does that count? laugh

Q: what's something you cooked recently and enjoyed?

Beef and Guinness Stew smitten

I saw "a young fella" running around in a pair of shorts and a hoody the other day (I was freezing this same day!!!!). Do you hang onto summer for as long as you can, beyond reason, or do you welcome each changing season?

i welcome each season...all four of 'em....and i welcome them in bare feet.... grin
(on a more serious note....we get teased bout this a lot..and i really have spent entire years without ever putting on socks...but finding that balance of indoor temperature can be challenging in co-habitation with one not so inclined. )
wine

I have one of those automated thermostats so in the morning it clicks on around 6:15 to 7:30 at 19.5 degrees, then down to 14 degrees when I am at work, and back to 19.5 degrees just before I get home. And when I'm sleeping back down to 14 degrees. I get a lot of sunshine as I am facing southwest so my place may be even warmer than what I have set my temperature for.

What is the weather like where you are right now?

Q: we tend to eat different in the winter. hearty/hardy stews, heavier types of meals than in the summer when the gardens are full.

Q: not having one's expectations met within a relationship is cause for suffering...soooo.... is it ok to have expectations within a relationship?

A: I think expectations are important in a relationship, but they must be realistic in order for the relationship to remain healthy.

Q: Sometimes the best night out is a fancy night in. Would you order in or would you cook a home meal?wave

Ordering in would be a nice break from the fuss of cooking and cleaning up afterward....more time equates to more romance. grin

Immediate family and special people get "token" gifts, nothing expensive, but something that I think they will enjoy. I absolutely LOVE christmas so put a lot of thought into what I gift to people. I've been looking for the perfect snow globe for the last couple of years for myself (hint, hint!!)

My sisters gift to me last year was priceless, but you'd need to be Irish to understand it laugh

If you had to choose between radio or TV, which would you choose?

A: TV would be my choice. I enjoy the radio in my vehicle or while at work, but when I am home the TV is always on.
Q: Saturday we went from 12c to -15c with our first snow storm of the season. Do you get such severe weather changes where you live?

when i lived in vancouver, i would just go out on days i didn't feel like cooking, and grab something close by (but not fast food). now...ocassionally order a pizza, but usually go to the freezer and nuke something i've previously made.

Q: there's no great restaurants near where i live. do you have a favourite restaurant near where you live?

There are lots of restaurants in Kilkenny as well as in my hometown Aachen.

In Kilkenny I like to eat in a well-known, big place who have the "traditional" lunches and dinners, in Aachen, which is a University city there are lots of possibilities to eat, a lot for little money. I like to go and have something different there, let it be Greek, Turkish, Mexican or Cajun food.

Yummy yay

Did anyone already do something about Christmas? uh oh
